The dialogues between the boys in the gumba (monastery) are of many kinds and types. They are all like Dazu Bhai (Brothers) with
all the aspects of the meaning, most of it for the better. The little boy (age 7) that joined the gumba two years ago, looks up to big boy (age 13) and it is very easy to read between their faces the love, respect and responsibility that they have for each other.
This photo was taken at small monastery located in Sundarijal, the north-south part of Kathmandu, Nepal. The monastery is struggling from its economic problems and there are 30 other boys getting the free shelter as most of them lost there houses and family from the terrifying 7.5 magnitude earthquake of 2015.
